Potagers Garden Cafe

In a beautiful garden setting Potager cafe serves really excellent organic veggie brunches, lunches and cakes.  A small daily changing high quality menu often making use of their own garden produce and foraged ingredients.  Play areas for kids, table tennis, badminton, boules and hammocks to laze in. Dogs welcome.  What’s not to love?

The Golden Lion, Stithians

Our award winning local pub. The best of English, European and Asian cuisine with log fires and gardens by the lake, the food here never fails to impress with its innovative use of locally sourced produce there is something on the menu to suit all palates. Well within walking distance of Little White Alice enjoy a Sunday Roast after walking around the lake or a sumptuous evening meal and then stroll home under the starlight. Special offers for Little White Alice guests with a 20% discount on all food . Children and dogs are both very welcome here.

The Star Inn Porkellis

The Star Inn is much more than a pub, it’s a community hub with a small in house shop, a library and of course everything you would expect from a country pub from quiz nights to music evenings to even the chance to have a Cornish language lesson.  The menu is small but all freshly made and changes seasonally from winter soups to summer salads. As a small village pub opening hours vary so best to ring and book before you arrive.  You will sure to have the warmest welcome from Andrew, Anthony and their small team. Children and dogs are welcome and there is a large collection of family games to play and a beer garden.

Slice of Cornwall The Homestead Woodland Garden, Wendron

A leisurely stroll through country lanes and footpaths will take you to this gem of a new cafe situated inside a beautiful garden. Fantastic for brunch, lunches and afternoon teas my favourite is their superfood salads. Locally sourced and foraged ingredients with some of the best cake I’ve tasted in Cornwall this year! Open Thursdays – Sundays 10-4pm Well worth the walk!  Unfortunately this cafe is not dog friendly but children are very welcome with high chairs and outdoor play area in the Woodland Garden.

Cafe Nova Stithians Lake Cornwall

A new venture, this excellent cafe is situated in part of the Stithians Watersports Centre but whether you want to get active on the water or not we highly recommend that you check them out for light lunches and amazing coffees and cakes. It’s an easy stroll there from Little White Alice along the footpath that runs by the lake. Hayley has also been commissioned to make more than one birthday cake for our guests.

Carn Brae Castle is probably one of the most unique places you can eat out in Cornwall.  This is small folly is built on top of Carn Brae hill rising out of huge boulders of granite with far reaching views. Jordanian food and an unforgettable dining experience with warm jovial hospitality from your Jordanian host. Just keep following the long narrow rough track right to the top to find it. This is a dining experience which we are sure you will not find anywhere else.

The Pandora Inn, Restronguet, Mylor

Dining in the multiple award winning Pandora is a real treat whether you eat indoors snuggled around a fire or laze in the sun outdoors on the pontoon overlooking the creek, this pub must have one of the most beautiful locations in Cornwall.  What’s always the same is great locally sourced food prepared freshly whilst you wait. Dog and child friendly the pontoon is ideal for kids to do a bit of crabbing whilst you relax.

The Blue Bar, Porthtowan

Restaurant on the beach with epic sunsets and a lively surf crowd. It also doubles as a music venue. Get there early to nab a window seat especially if surfs up.

All our guests have been really impressed by this harbour side light contemporary and airy bar/cafe/restaurant with wood burning oven serving fantastic seafood and mouth watering pizzas in Porthleven which is becoming quite a foodie capital with lots of artisan craft shops and small galleries and the nearby Penrose Estate to walk around.

Bar and bistro with a huge range of 40 malt whiskies the Trengilly is a warm friendly traditional family pub and restaurant with a well earned long and lasting good reputation for its locally sourced food and beers.  There are often folk nights in here as well. Cosy log fires and beer garden for summer days.

Godrevy Cafe

Chilled out beach cafe serving simple freshly made food close to the iconic lighthouse and the surfing beaches of the north coast. A favourite of ours for Sunday brunch whatever the season. Variable opening times over the winter months. For a perfect family day pack your surf boards, explore the long Godrevy beaches and then have a tasty lunch.  In winter months visit the seals at nearby Mutton Cove.

A local’s favourite this small intimate eatery is all about quality, specializing in tapas and paellas in the evenings it does spectacular breakfasts and lunches in the daytime. Without a doubt this is where you can savour one of the best cups of coffee you can buy in Cornwall. It has rave reviews all around and owners Tim and Bev are generally on hand to welcome you. They don’t take bookings so if you want to eat here in the evenings turn up early at 6.30 to get a table.

A favourite amongst Falmouth locals, Olivers on the High Street is worth booking well in advance to get into. Owners Ken and Wendy bring a passion and unrivalled enthusiasm to their fresh menu. Locally sourced veg from foraging, their own gardens and the best of fresh fish are creatively conjured by Ken into unique dining experiences. You may be lucky and get a cancellation but take our advice and book now! This place has been known to be booked 6 weeks ahead.

Famous fish and chips with a twist restaurant and seafood bar in the heart of Falmouth’s events square. How many different ways can you have fish and chips – we are still working our way through their many options. Try too the oyster bar upstairs for great fishy tapas and Spanish sherries. This is just one of the Rick Stein options with restaurants in Padstow and Porthleven as well you could just spend the week eating Stein!

Open all day and all year round with a well earned reputation. We love to lounge on the decks with a long cool beer in the summer after a day on the beach or storm watch with coffee and cake over the winter months. With the occasional theme or music night this is a warm family friendly relaxed venue and of course it’s right on the beach overlooking the sea.  During summer months enjoy their outdoor BBQ.

For a complete eating experience why not take lunch at Trevaskis farm where you can start the meal by exploring their extensive farm site before indulging in traditional locally sourced cooking of the best kind.  After you can stock up by picking your own seasonal veg or shopping in one of the best stocked farm shops around. They are open throughout the year for all day and evening dining and shopping. Their pudding counter is legendary in these parts and all their portions are huge.

One of our favourite haunts in Falmouth, fantastic for coffees and amazing cakes and lunches in their courtyard gardens. Stock up with your holiday treats in their Deli and fit in one of their delicious Tapas evenings.  Watch out too for their alternative cabaret evenings and for those days out exploring why not order one of their hand crafted picnic hampers. Finish the evening off by popping next door into  Beerwolf  (01326 618474). This is a Beer and Book shop where you cannot only savour a great pint but pick up some holiday reading in their inspirational collection of great books.
